Can I too?

I wanna be one of those hot mums that I look at and think 'Mutter, mutter, mutter (Pa Bear styles) bitch, mutter, mutter, mutter, die!!!' LOL I walked down to the shops to pick up Chris' ventolin, it started absolutely pissing down when I was halfway there. So after a quick stop to put the rain cover over Caelan's buggy the three of us headed off again (me, the dog and baby). Went to the doctor and pharmacy and left with ventolin in hand. Mission accomplished. We headed home and there was this sexy thing in her tight size negative-god-knows-what jeans pushing her buggy up the hill, waving her awesome butt infront of me. It was raining and she was trying to maneouvre her buggy with an umbrella, all the while managing to look gorgeous. Of course a man appeared out of nowhere eager to help miss awesome butt to her car by carrying her bag and holding the umbrella over her and her baby. There I was drenched and looking incredibly manky with two wet bands across my top - one for the ginormous boobs and one for the belly! Those are the bits that stick out and got wet whilst also creating shelter for the other areas. I wanted to kick her over. LOL Soooo here I sit with wet hair dripping down my back all the more motivated to stay on this eat-well-kill-oneself-with-exercise thing I'm doing. Can I be one of those hot mums too, please? Jingos, I'll just be happy if I can be what I was before thanks.

Well I'd better go tend to the hair and put some dry socks on before my feet rott!

Hush now young lady! You are absolutely beautiful---in fact, you are more beautiful than that ditzy little stick! You want to know why? Because instead of obsessing about instantly getting back to your "pre-baby" weight, you have devoted your time to your baby and husband and to nurturing your family. Motherhood is so beautiful, I am looking forward to it one day!!! I wish you luck on your journey, but I felt the need to tell you that you are lovely just the way you are! :-)

can this one male put in his humble opinion?

your husband must know you're 'hot'. otherwise i doubt you'd both be blessed with your beautiful baby. and that's all that should matter, innit?

dont know how the other guys feel about this but i for one dont think i could wake up every morning with a 'ditzy little stick' next to me. there's so much more to a female than just a bunch of curves that make them attractive. : )

Hey Moggie - thanks for that. Yeah my husband thinks I'm hot and that means a great deal to me, but what I tell him is that I need to be happy with me as well. I don't wanna be a ditzy little stick (hehe I really like that btw!), I just wanna be what I was when I got pregnant. I'd like to feel like me again - the fit, strong, healthy and happy me :) It's nice to hear a males opinion - thanks heaps!

Here's my story: Baby #4 is nearly 2 and speaking in phrases and sentences and I still haven't lost the weight from 7-yr-old baby #2!

I wouldn't worry too much over the weight; mine is a combination of prescription meds and not enough exercise (mostly the meds though). While I want to get back to my pre-baby (#2) weight, I don't think it's going to happen unless I can find a way to get off these meds.

Have fun with your family. Do what you love and don't fret too much about the weight issue. Unless your doctor says you need to lose weight, I'd just buy some clothes that fit better (that's what I did) and be proud of your family.

Saffron, I'm working on getting back to my pre-baby weight too. Of course my youngest is 7 this year, and her mother says that if I don't qualify for the 'baby weight' excuse being a dad, but I don't think that's fair :)

In answer to your question though, yup, you too can be one of those hot moms, just keep on keeping on with the eating right and exercise thing.

You know, odds are that was a nanny anyway and not the mom, just keep that in mind, it might help :)

Smiles from Canada!

Melissa - Thanks! Four babies - now that's what my husband wants. I told him we could if he went through pregnancy etc. for the second two! hehe It must be awesome :) Thanks very much for sharing your story - priorities definitely change once there are kids in the picture don't they? Hope things are ok with you (thinkin of the meds you mentioned). All the best and thanks for your visit :)

Hey Sean! Good to "see" ya. hehe Of course you're allowed to use the baby weight excuse! Though not many people would accept it I don't think!! Thanks so much for the encouragement :) AND OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT!!! Of course she was the nanny!! What was I thinking. Aaahhhh feel soooo much better now. Thanks! ;)

Hey Saffron .. people who didn't know me from way back pre-baby days, when shown photos, say I look way better now. For your info, there is about 35 pounds of weight difference between then and now so, don't fret. As long as you feel greet-the-day-with-a-smile alive, you're more attractive than ditzy little stick 'cos the happiness shows on your face .. the glow of happiness.
